Honey Soy Sauce Chicken

Honey Soy Sauce Chicken

Ingredients:
12 pcs boneless Chicken Thighs
Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
roasted Sesame Seeds

Marinade:
4 tbsp Acacia Honey
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Soup Base
2 Tbsp Sake

Instructions:
Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry.
Prick them all over with a fork, and season with salt and pepper. Set aside for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine all the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl.
Then, add-in the chicken into the marinade mixture.
Coat the chicken all over with marinade.
Cover and marinate overnight; or just marinate for at least 30~60 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Arrange the marinated chicken, skin side up, in a baking pan with foil. Do not overlap them!
Pour the remaining marinade onto the chicken, and bake for 20 minutes.

Baste them a couple of times using a silicone brush during the baking.
Change your oven setting to broil/grill, and continue cooking for 5~10 minutes, or until the top is nicely browned. Carefully remove from the oven.
Arrange in a platter, sprinkle some sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
Happy Eating!!

Note:
Soup Base is a traditional Japanese condiment made from soy sauce and bonito flavoring. It is also a wonderful substitute for soy sauce.
