Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Ingredients:
1 block Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
2 large Eggs, well-beaten
2 tbsp Filtered Water
2 cups Panko (Breadcrumbs)
Deep-frying Oil

Instructions:
Cut the block of mozzarella cheese into 3" sticks, with a width and height of 1/4". Set aside.

Prepare 3 medium sized bowls; Pour flour into one bowl. Place the beaten eggs and water into the other bowl. Pour bread crumbs into the third bowl.

Toss the cheese sticks in flour, and shake to remove excess flour.
Dip the floured cheese nsticksinto egg mixture.
Press the cheese sticks into the bread crumbs, and coat them well. Shake off excess crumbs and set aside.
Place the breaded cheese sticks onto a plate while breading the rest.
Then repeat the breading process by dipping the breaded cheese sticks again into the egg mixture, followed by coating them with bread crumbs again.
Put onto a plate, cover with a foil, and freeze for at least 2 hours. (This helps to prevent cheese blowout during cooking.)

In a large pan with deep-frying oil, turn heat to medium, and heat oil to 175°C.
Working in batches, fry the cheese sticks in the hot oil until golden brown. (It takes less than a minute to cook them.)
Place onto a plate lined with paper towel or onto a wire rack to drain excess oil.
Serve with marina sauce and enjoy!
Happy Eating!!
