Almond Cookies


Almond Cookies

Ingredients :
220 g All-purpose Flour
80 g Cornstarch
3 tbsp Milk Powder
60 g Almond powder
160 g Butter
150  g Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 tsp Vanilla

Glaze:
1 Egg Yolk, beaten
Almond Slivers

Instructions:
In a medium bowl, Add-in flour, cornstarch, milk powder and almond powder. Mix well. Set aside.
In another medium bowl, cream sugar and butter until light and creamy.
Add-in egg and vanilla until well combined.
Slowly add-in the flour mixture into the sugar-cream mixture, mix on slow until everything becomes doughy.

Lightly dust your clean countertop with some flour, and roll out the cookie dough to about 0.5cm thick.
Cut out dough with a cookie cutter into desire shapes, and arrange cookies into a lightly greased baking tray (or just simply drop a spoonful of dough onto a lightly greased baking tray.)
Brush the top of the cookies with beaten egg yolk, and sprinkle some slivered almonds on top.

Bake in a 175ºC preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until lightly brown.
Remove from the oven, and let cool on a wire rack.
